Creating with Lace

During the preparations for
the Art & Craft Show
I suddenly realized I had been drawn to the lace again

I love creating with paper
and lace

This time it turned out to be most lace

and so I wanted to show you
what I have been up to since last time

this is the first time I will be participating in this show
I actually had decided not to do any shows this year in Denmark
but just couldn´t resist when the organiser asked me
to be there with my bears.
Not a lot of people collect bears in Denmark though
so I´m going to bring some of my other creations too

Wishing you all
a lovely creative day

My New Cabinet Card Box

For a long time I have had my old cabinet cards stored in an old
ciger box on my work table.
~
I have been wanted to decorate it for some time now, so when
I signed up for the Artist Class I decided
to try Lori´s tutorial for her beautiful box.

this is my edition of the box.
Not at all as beautiful as Loris´s
but I´m kind of satisfied with it anyway

I have been working with cream and black lately for the Christmas Collection
and wanted the box to go with the same theme

so I added black string to the edges

and an old key hole on the front
to match the cabinet cards

and some lace too ofcourse :D

Now it´s on my new shelf
only waiting for more creations to come.
What do you think.
~
Have a beautiful sunday

Fall

October is almost over and it´s definately fall here.
I have been spending time preparing and teaching my bearmaking class
this weekend , so I haven´t had time for new creations to show you.
Instead I thought I would share a few photos from my studio
and the beautiful view to my forest.

this is the look from my kitchen window.
the sun was out and I manage to take these photos before
all the leaves were gone.

I just love those colors and this is definately
my favorite time of the year.

when the light changes and the colors had faded

it´s time for candlelight, hot chocolate
cosiness and creative time in the studio.
what is your favorite time of the year?
until next time

Victorian decorations

Remember the lace pack a few posts back?
All that lace have been lying on my working table and
now I couldn´t resist anymore.

I decided to create some tiny decorations
with some of the lace.
As background is used some grunge tags - I do find
the color on these perfect together with lace

1 inch old lace wrapped around and decorated with more
lace and bits and pieces

old metal letters and numbers
bought on a market some time ago

velvet ribbon, madonna medaillions bought
back from travels in Italy

I call these for Victorian decorations.
I don´t know if this is the correct word for these
but I do find them very very romantic and nostalgic

In my Tinybeardk shop later today.
Have a lovely and romantic day.

A Little Bit Christmas

Going throug some old stuff I came cross these sheets I bought many years ago
and I couldn´t resist making a little christmas project.
I know it´s a bit early for that but that´ll have to be..

these little pixies are reproductions of old christmas garlands
meant to be used on the christmas tree

I clued the pixies onto cardstock, cut them out separately
and sewed them on a string

They are only 1.5 inch tall
and if you look closely, you can see they
have tiny letters on their bellys
saying:
GLÆDELIG JUL
which is Danish and means
MERRY CHRISTMAS
a sweet little garland
to be used on the christmas tree, in the window
on the manntle piece
or whereever you want to wish a

Merry Christmas.
Have a lovely monday
